 Hams Needed Again for CCCC on Oct 14 
 The Coyote Creek Cycling Classic is just around the corner, and they are seeking about 15 volunteers this year. The event is on October 14th.  PAARA Meeting Rescheduled to Sept 8th 
 The Palo Alto Amateur Radio Assocation (PAARA) monthly meeting has been rescheduled for Sept 8, 2006 due to the Labor Day Holiday. The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the usual location -- Menlo Park Recreation Center, 700 Alma St, Menlo Park (In Burgess Park).

 Dr. Scott Sanford scheduled to speak at  
 AMSAT is very excited to announce that NASA Principle Investigator Dr. Scott Sanford will deliver a special presentation during 2006 AMSAT Space Symposium. Dr. Sanford, who is co-director of the NASA Ames Astrochemistry Laboratory, will speak about sample return from comets and asteroids in general, and specifically about the Stardust Sample and Return Mission to Comet Wild 2. The Symposium will be held October 5-10, 2006 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel San Francisco Mid-Peninsula hotel located at 1221 Chess Dr, Foster City California.  Two Upcoming "Ham Cram" License Classes 
 Two one-day "ham cram" license classes have been scheduled, one in San Francisco on September 16th, and the other in Fremont on October 22nd. For info on the San Francisco class, email dave1@wcf.com. Information on the Fremont class can be found on the BAEARS web site.

 Skyline Charity Bike/Hike Tour Oct. 7th 
 Ham Radio Volunteers are requested for the First Annual "Ridge Trail Cruz" Charity Bike/Hike Tour on Sat., October 7. The event starts at 8am; volunteers will need to be on site probably around 6:30am. It should be over in the early afternoon. If you are interested, please contact the event's Ham Radio Volunteer Coordinator, Steve Muther (KF6R), or call 650-424-9809.
