| Dr. Scott Sanford scheduled to speak at |
| AMSAT is very excited to announce that NASA Principle Investigator Dr. Scott Sanford will deliver a special presentation during 2006 AMSAT Space Symposium. Dr. Sanford, who is co-director of the NASA Ames Astrochemistry Laboratory, will speak about sample return from comets and asteroids in general, and specifically about the Stardust Sample and Return Mission to Comet Wild 2. The Symposium will be held October 5-10, 2006 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel San Francisco Mid-Peninsula hotel located at 1221 Chess Dr, Foster City California. | Skyline Charity Bike/Hike Tour Oct. 7th |
| Ham Radio Volunteers are requested for the First Annual "Ridge Trail Cruz" Charity Bike/Hike Tour on Sat., October 7. The event starts at 8am; volunteers will need to be on site probably around 6:30am. It should be over in the early afternoon.
