A new look for our site!
We're in the process of converting the site to a
Wiki. By doing so, we'll be able to let section officers update pages on the site independently, which should result in more and better information for all hams in the section.
(For those that might be curious, we're using Wikka Wiki as our Wiki engine.)

SUITSAT Blasts Off February 3rd
On February 3rd, astronauts plan to hurl an old spacesuit overboard from the International Space Station. The disembodied suit, nicknamed "
SuitSat," will proceed to circle Earth, transmitting a radio message which anyone can hear using a police scanner or a ham radio tuned to 145.990 MHz FM. This strange experiment is a test of a sensible idea--that old spacesuits might be transformed into useful satellites. For information on "
SuitSat", check out the
Science@NASA SuitSat page. And to determine when "
SuitSat" will pass over your area, use NASA's
J-Pass utility.
